Are you looking to expand the types of procedures you perform in your office? Our Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists can provide safe IV Sedation so that more of your patients have their work done in your office. Some examples may be adult patients with special needs, extraction or implant cases, or those who have avoided the dentist for many years due to high anxiety and now need extensive work done.
The Michigan Dental Public Health Code requires dentists to take a 60 hour IV sedation course before working with CRNAs. We'll then help get your office set up safely and train your team to schedule cases.
Prior to the procedure, our staff RN contacts each patient to review their health history, instruct them on maintaining NPO status and which meds to take before the procedure, and what to expect the day of the procedure, as well as educate them on post-op medications/pain management.
The CRNA performs a follow up phone call to the caregiver after the procedure, fielding some of the post-operative questions.
